Katie Patel joined the artistic staff in 2014. Patel has been a music educator in Texas for over 10 years. She currently serves as head choral director at Jasper High School in Plano, where she has led her choirs to numerous state and national awards. She is a highly sought-after clinician and adjudicator throughout the state of Texas. In 2021, she received the Young Director of Distinction Award from the Texas Choral Directors Association. Patel previously served as Assistant Conductor to the Concert I, Cantabile, and Youth Choruses in both CCGD and GDCS. Patel holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music Education degree from Texas Tech University.
